knit and crochet today for the beginning crocheter

Crocheting appeals to a wide number of people, as most of the materials still remain inexpensive and easy to obtain. Just about everyone knows how to make a granny square.

These are great for quick projects, last minute gifts and using up small amounts of yarn that is leftover from previous projects. There are so many great wools and threads to choose from, you can make anything you want. Free crochet afghan patterns are a great way to put together a beautiful afghan for gifts or for personal use.

At the time, knitting seemed over my head and maybe even a bit "granny-ish". It simply makes sense to make a baby sized sweater before tackling the adult sized version as a Christmas gift for your husband! Crochet can be done with the minimum amount of equipment and mess, and is very quick to tidy away.

Often others find themselves driven by many motives to continue doing this craft for many years getting past the frustration. Crochet is an interesting hobby.
